Spinach ‘Giant Winter’ is a hardy variety, thanks to which it can be sown in the autumn as well as in the spring; in the latter case, it grows very rapidly and is a great source of vitamin C.
Growing: sow the seeds in the spring, around late March, or in mid-October. Grow the plants in 2.5x15cm spacings. Its vegetative phase lasts 40 to 55 days. The plants are ready to be harvested around mid-May or in late September, depending on the date of sowing. Can also be grown in the autumn in a greenhouse!
