It’s not Spring with out Snowdrops, these are the common variety called Nivalis, your classic and orginal Snowdrop. Snowdrops are one of the first flowers to bloom in the frozen months of January and February.
Small fragrant white flowers with green inner segments are produced on small stems up to 15cm tall. They are best planted in groups for maximum impact and grow best in humus rich, moist but well drained soil that does not dry out in summer. Partial shade is preferred.
