Dill seeds should be sown directly into the garden after the threat of frost has passed in the spring. Plant dill every couple of weeks until mid summer to ensure a constant supply into autumn. If you want to get a head start, you can sow seeds under cover a little earlier in the season, using plug trays. Plant out the plugs after all risk of frost has passed.
Sow dill seeds about ¼-inch deep and 18 inches apart.
